Over the next few weeks I will be working with Jo Burke at Northumberland Arts Development and the people of South East Northumberland on a creative project exploring local connections to The First World War.

I will produce an installation piece in collaboration with the pupils of Ellington First School and an artist’s book with members of the public who come along to a drop in workshop at Cramlington Library. It will be particularly special to return to Ellington School, as I spent 3 years attending the school between the ages of four and seven.

The work that I make will be on display at Cramlington Library on Saturday 1st March, 10.00-11.30am, I’ll also be performing poems and there will be songs from the Cramlington Community Choir.

The project is part of a pilot for a series of national events commemorating the centenary of World War One that are being planned by the arts organisation Superact over the next four years.
